2

Vehicle Selection & Sourcing

Customized Search: Our sales team will embark on finding a car that matches your specifications, or the closest available option.

Personalized Recommendations: We will share carefully selected options for you to choose from.

Full Transparency: We provide all available information, including condition reports, approximate KRA duty payable, and the total landing cost.

Agreement: After confirming details, we share a sales agreement outlining the terms.

3

Vehicle Acquisition

  • Make a minimum deposit of 20% of the CIF (Cost and Freight) cost via bank transfer, Mpesa, or cash.
  • Upon payment confirmation, we commence the purchase process in Japan.
  • After successful purchase, top up to 50% of CIF to facilitate transport to the port yard, inspection, and shipping.
  • This process usually takes 5 – 10 business days depending on the vehicle's inland location.
4

Vehicle Inspection & Shipping

Once at the port yard in Japan, we obtain more photos and facilitate mandatory documentation:

  • QISJ Certificate: Quality inspection is done and a KEBS Certificate of Roadworthiness is issued.
  • Export Certificate: Proves the car was legally deregistered in Japan and cleared for export.

A shipping schedule is issued, and the Bill of Lading (BL) is shared 10-14 business days after departure.

5

Customs Clearance & NTSA Registration

The buyer pays the balance to clear 100% of the CIF upon issuance of the BL, at least 10 days before the ship arrives in Mombasa. Port clearance and delivery fees are also paid.

KRA Customs Clearance:

Our experienced team handles import duties, taxes, and documentation. We guide you through paying the exact duty amount directly under your KRA pin.

NTSA Registration:

  • After duty payment, an application is made for NTSA registration.
  • Number plates are typically ready within a week.
  • The official Logbook is processed in about two weeks.
6

Vehicle Delivery & Support

The vehicle is delivered and handed over to you, marking the successful completion of the import process.

After-Sales Support: We advise organizing comprehensive insurance before the vehicle leaves Mombasa. Our team remains available to support you post-purchase with any concerns.
